The Community You Were Looking For
Studying in a new country is one of the hardest challengesa person can face. Navigatingthe academicsis one thing; finding where you actually belong is another. Campfire Harmony (the flagship cultural program of Big Dipper Campfire) is our direct answer to that second challenge.
Launched in 2020 as the foundational spark of the BDC ecosystem, we have brought Chinese international students together through outdoor camping trips, seasonal gatherings, and community events across Southern California. With more than 50 events hosted and hundreds of students connected, we have watched a campus experiment grow into a massive, synchronized cross-border community.
We take care of every single detail: campsite bookings, tent setups, gear, andlogistics. All you have to do is show up. When you do, you will find people who understand exactly where you are coming from, and who are just as curious as you are about where you are going.
This is not a standalone university club, and it is not a rigid corporate program.This is the heart of Big Dipper Campfire, and it is the community you have been searching for.
